These terms cover use of the Knight Web Co. website and initial enquiries. The exact scope, price and delivery terms for paid client work are confirmed separately in writing.
Website information
Prices, examples and service descriptions on this website are general guidance. A final scope, price, delivery plan and any payment schedule will be agreed before paid work begins.
Free mock-ups
A free mock-up is an initial visual direction intended to help you decide whether to proceed. It is not a completed website, does not include unlimited revisions and does not transfer ownership of the concept or design files.
Quotes and project scope
Paid work starts only once the agreed quotation or project scope has been accepted. Any deposit or staged payment requirement will be stated in that quotation. Work outside the agreed scope — including extra pages, new features, substantial content changes or integrations — may be quoted separately before it is carried out.
Payment and launch
Payment dates and amounts are set out in the quotation or invoice for the project. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, any outstanding final balance must be paid before the completed website is transferred, published or handed over for ongoing management.
Revisions and client content
Included revisions are those stated in the agreed project scope. Clients are responsible for supplying accurate business information and for confirming that they have permission to use any text, photographs, logos or other material they provide.
Ownership
Free mock-up concepts remain the property of Knight Web Co. unless a paid project proceeds. Once the agreed project has been paid in full, the client receives the rights to the finished website work created specifically for that project, subject to any third-party software, fonts, stock assets, licences, platforms or other components that remain governed by their own terms.
Hosting and care
Hosting, maintenance and care-plan inclusions depend on the package purchased. Larger redesigns, new functionality and work beyond an included allowance can be charged separately. Third-party hosting or platform availability cannot be guaranteed by Knight Web Co.
Third-party services
Domains, hosting platforms, email providers, analytics, payment services and other third-party tools can be subject to their own terms, pricing, outages and availability. Any third-party cost that is not included in a Knight Web Co. quotation remains the client’s responsibility.
Cancellation or paused projects
If a paid project is cancelled or left inactive, charges may still apply for work already completed or costs already incurred. Any project-specific cancellation or restart terms will be stated in the agreed quotation where relevant.
